Lincoln-based in-home petsitting
Emergency veterinary authorization
If your pet needs a vet while in our home, here’s what you authorize. Please read this before you request a booking.
1. Authorization
You authorize Dave and Shelly (DSPetSitting) to get veterinary exam, treatment, tests, hospitalization, and surgery for your pet(s) as a licensed veterinarian recommends while your pet is in our care.
2. Who pays
You agree to reimburse DSPetSitting for any and all veterinary fees and charges — including emergency care — for your pet(s) while in our home. You stay the person the clinic bills.
3. Your clinic and after-hours ER
List your preferred clinic and after-hours ER on your pet profile or account. If those clinics are unavailable or waiting would put your pet in danger, you authorize care at any reasonably available emergency veterinary facility.
4. Reaching you
We will try to reach you (and your emergency contacts when listed) before non-emergency procedures when we reasonably can. In a true emergency, we may go ahead with recommended care if we cannot reach you in time.
5. Euthanasia
We will not authorize euthanasia without your prior verbal or written consent, except as a clinic’s ethics may require in extreme suffering.
6. Meet ’n greets
Complimentary meet ’n greets are short courtesy visits. The same authorization applies if veterinary care becomes necessary during a visit at our home.
By checking the required box and typing your name when you request a booking, you agree to this version.
