Lincoln-based in-home petsitting
Service agreement
How we care for your dog in our home. Please read this before you request a booking.
1. Our home
This agreement is between you and DSPetSitting — Dave and Shelly, in the Lincoln, Nebraska 68516 area. Care is in our private home. We share the street address after a booking is confirmed (and paid when there is a fee).
2. What we offer
Overnight boarding and daycare for dogs in our home. Meet ’n greets are optional, always free, and never required.
3. When we may not be able to host, or may end a booking
We may not be able to host, or we may adjust or cancel a booking — or send a pet home early — when it is not a good fit for the home, the pack, house rules, health, or how many dogs we can care for well. See Cancellation and Terms.
4. Vaccines and health
Dogs in our care need to be current on rabies (and other vaccines we reasonably ask for), on flea and tick prevention as appropriate, and free of known contagious disease. We may turn away a pet who is unvaccinated or showing signs of illness. Please answer each pet’s profile honestly.
5. Medications
You send clearly labeled medications and instructions. We will do our best to follow them; we cannot promise medical outcomes.
6. Food and belongings
Please pack your pet’s food. Collars, beds, and other items can get lost or worn — bring only what you are comfortable sending.
7. Life in our home
This is indoor home boarding with our residents (Ember and Pepper) and a small number of other client dogs. It is not an outdoor kennel, and it is not one-on-one watching every minute.
8. People in the home
Household members and occasional visitors (including children) may be here. Please tell us about any history of aggression toward people or animals.
9. Behavior we need to know about
You are telling us your pet is not violent or aggressive toward other dogs, cats, animals, or people (including children), except what you fully describe on their profile. If we learn of aggression that was not disclosed, we may end the booking and you cover extra costs.
10. Risks
A multi-dog home has real risks — injury, illness, stress, a pet trying to get out, or something contagious like kennel cough. Except where the law says otherwise, you accept those risks, and our responsibility is limited to the fees paid for the booking.
11. If your pet causes harm
You are responsible for injury or damage your pet causes to people, other animals, or property while in our home, to the extent the law allows.
12. Payment and our address
Pay on the site (that usually confirms the booking) or Venmo Business (we confirm when we see it). We share our address after the booking is confirmed and paid when there is a fee.
13. Photos
We may send you photo updates during a booking. Using photos on our website or social is optional — you choose that when you book.
14. Cancellation
Timing and refunds are on the cancellation page.
15. Nebraska law
Nebraska law applies. Venue is Lancaster County.
16. The full agreement
Together with the emergency veterinary authorization and your pet profile answers, this is the full agreement for the booking. If one part cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
